CLARITY is a gift from the Divine
Are you unclear on your next steps?
I notice that clients often talk to me when they are on the verge of some kind of major decision or breakthrough in their lives. It’s usually a “business” thing, but I don’t think you can truly separate business from the rest of life for a variety of reasons, which is why I speak in terms of 5 spheres of leadership influence.
When they approach me here are some things I notice:
❌ Their thinking feels busy, cloudy, confused, overwhelmed
❌ They hesitate to step up and act
❌ They feel unworthy of what they see
❌ They are practically looking for reasons NOT to act
❌ Fears hold them back on a number of levels
So, I get them to talk. Talk about where they see themselves going. Talk about all the reasons that discerning and taking the next steps is difficult.
And the whole time I’m listening.
👂 Listening for what they don’t realize they’re saying
👂 Listening for what doesn’t add up
👂 Listening for all the different parts of their life that must be honored and satisfied by this new vision
👂 Listening for all the fears and reservations that threaten to get in the way and keep them small
And then I tell them what I hear.
✅ And they chuckle or giggle, because they see the contradictions in their own thinking as they haven’t before
✅ And they know they’re out of excuses
✅ And they can’t ever be 100% certain before they take the next steps
✅ And they take joy in that opportunity for growth
And you know what they have then?
🌅 CLARITY 🌅
Clarity is a gift from the Divine. Clarity is what happens when we eliminate contradictions, hesitations, fear, and second-guessing. It’s what we have when we see WHERE we’re here to go, HOW to get there, and WHY it matters to us.
If you’re reading this you have a new level to hit. I’m certain you do. You wouldn’t have made it this far otherwise, both in life and reading 😄
If you’re not there yet, you need to know why. And you may not be able to figure it out yourself, which means you need the space of clarity that I can provide, because that’s what I’m here to do. It took me a while to figure that out, but that’s par for the course, as I’m telling you.
During these strange times, more and more people are confronting this lack of clarity around where they are going and how to get there. More of us have the opportunity to up our game than ever before, including you.
The next steps are there, before you. You may not be able to see them without a little help. And they will likely scare you once you do. But they are yours, and yours alone. And the next steps are what you are here to take, because you know you’re not meant to stay where you are.
Simple but not easy.
