Do you set intentions?

One of my clients told me something yesterday that was both gratifying AND helpful in discerning the service I provide.

He told me that he approaches each of our sessions with a specific INTENTION.

That’s not exactly how he said it, but it’s essentially what he said.

This person is a dynamic and driven leader in his community.  He runs a large, successful company.  He has a loving family.  He is active in local politics.  He is respected and constructive everywhere he goes.  And sometimes he needs help clarifying his vision and working through leadership challenges, as we all do, which is why he comes to me.

I create a space and provide a kind of conversation he has not found from anyone else.  It’s a high-level, big-picture, visionary conversation that helps him rise above his many frustrations so he can reconceptualize and contextualize every relationship in his life.  We deconstruct reality from every angle and put it back together again so he can show up in all these spheres and provide the right influence to the right people in order to move his vision forward.

He comes to me because whenever I’m with him I see a vision of him as a leader just beyond his view, complete with the personal brand and communication that comes with it.  We all need this sometimes.

Here’s the cool thing…

Our conversations go in SO many directions.  Sometimes I fear that we are just talking for the fun of it.  Because who doesn’t like to talk sometimes?  But at the end we ALWAYS get to a point of clarity and challenge for him - action steps to reach the next level of success he craves.

He told me today that when he comes to sessions with me he holds in his mind a particular problem or challenge on which he would like some insight and clarity.  Some people call this setting an intention.  And it means he has learned to use the space I provide in a way that I didn’t even realize.

What this also tells me is that in my visionary leadership coaching I am truly tapping into another realm, and I think that’s pretty special.  I have worked very hard to lean into my intuition and construct a worldview that marries the spiritual and practical realms of existence, one that allows me to guide people through the spirit realm and emerge with very clear, actionable advice about strategy and communication that really works in the real world.  And this tells me that I have succeeded.  I think that’s pretty cool, and I am so grateful that I can serve in this way.

Here’s what it means for YOU.  It means I can help you navigate a very vast and beautiful realm in which the human spirit interfaces with reality, and anything is possible.  You can come, knotted up with your fears, frustrations, and uncertainties, and refresh your vision in what I call the “Realm of Purpose”.  It’s the highest metaphysical realm, and it’s one I know very well.  It’s where my mind lives, and I will serve as your expert guide while we are there.

So set your intention and we will dive in to seek the clarity and vision that you seek in order to reach the next level of your leadership journey.
